The 3D web is alive… Exitreality launches today in Closed Beta
I have just returned to Australia after a very, very busy 2 weeks in San Francisco, New York and then Los Angeles.
Was a short business trip for Exitreality to finalize a few of our launch partnerships as well as work with our launch partners to build out their 3D presence using the platform.
I am very pleased to report that earlier this week Exitreality launched in Closed Beta.
If you haven’t already signed up for the Closed Beta… you can start using the 3D web here… http://www.exitreality.com.
For those of you unfamiliar with Exitreality (and that would be people that don’t know me as its pretty much all I talk about) then a quick overview follows…
ExitReality is a unique social media platform that gives every social network user their own instant 3D place, which features all of their photographs, videos, backgrounds and colors automatically.
Free, as well as easy to use and decorate, users can meet and chat to friends in their own 3D place or other people’s 3D spaces.
ExitReality works with leading, global social media sites Facebook, Myspace, Friendster, Hi5, Orkut and Bebo.
We are also pleased to announce our Closed Beta launch partners, Carl’s Jr and Hardee’s.
Beginning today, online visitors to the Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s Web sites will be able to explore and interact on the Web in 3D. CKE Restaurants, Inc., parent company of Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s restaurant chains, has partnered with us, to offer the new technology, which allows users to experience traditional, 2-dimensional Web sites as 3-dimensional spaces.
Users will be able to download and try the pre-release version of the Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s 3D experience by visiting www.carlsjr.com, www.hardees.com, the Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s fan profile pages on MySpace (URL to be released shortly), or www.exitreality.com.
Let me know your thoughts either directly (for those that have my email address) or via the comments below.
Update: The Closed Beta Launch with Hardee’s and Carl’s Jr has just been featured in Techcrunch (Duncan Riley.)
